I am a Danish illustrator based in beautiful Lund, Sweden. I like to draw chickens and grandmothers, teacups and ghosts. I believe in the alchemy of metaphor, and in illustration as a tool for communicating complexity in a gentle way.

I am available for commissions and licensing. You are very welcome to contact me at hello@signegabriel.com

The Little Wizard

The Wizard’s House, 2016. The Little Wizard has built his house on top of a green, flower dotted hill, where he can grow his magical plants, make his potions and look at the stars in peace and quiet.

This is the Little Wizard. I met him for the first time in the fall of 2016 and since then I have been creating a world for him and his friends to live in.

Pug is the wizard’s magical friend and pet. No one really knows where Pug comes from, but it is really happy to live with the wizard.

Drawing a house for the Wizard was such an exciting process. In the beginning, I didn’t know anything about him either, but the more I drew the more I knew. All the little details tell us something about him. The more I found out about him, the more I fell in love.

Herbs are drying in the warmth from the stove, Pug is snuggling on the rug, coffee is almost ready!

Pug is seizing his chance to chew a bit on the Wizard’s hat while he is taking a hammock nap.

Someone is sending love letters to the Wizard (I think it’s the Shiftress).
