I am a Danish illustrator based in beautiful Lund, Sweden. I like to draw chickens and grandmothers, teacups and ghosts. I believe in the alchemy of metaphor, and in illustration as a tool for communicating complexity in a gentle way.

I am available for commissions and licensing. You are very welcome to contact me at hello@signegabriel.com

Other projects

Invisible Friend, 2017. It is good to have company, even if it is invisible.

Magical flora and funghi in the Wizard’s forest, 2017.

The peace and quiet is soon to be disturbed - by giant ladies in big hats and granny panties. The Giants Are Coming! #1, #2 and #3, 2016.

Calendars:

“The Magic Fish Machine” is a wall calendar project I did for the year 2017. The calendar works like a silent book, telling a story without words throughout the 12 months of the year.

In this story, we follow two children as they find an old blueprint for a mystical machine that in the end helps them provide for their family.

Below are the months of January, March, July and September:

I also made a calendar for 2016. It was called Stories from the Yellow House and just like The Magic Fish Machine it worked like a story in which we follow a girl and her two giant pet rabbits throughout the year in and around their big yellow house in the woods. We see them playing in the snow, picnicking in the garden, visiting the chickens, and collecting mushrooms in the fall. Below are the months of may, july and september.

Comic:

The Red Rubber Boot, 2015, is a comic about the challenges of living in the wilderness.
It was inspired about the VICE documentary about Agafia Lykova who has been living alone in the Russian taiga for years.
